User Profile

Introduction

User profile is a collection of information and settings associated with a user. In user profile, user can manage the profile details and notification preferences.

Create User Profile

To create a new user profile

  1. Login to OpsRamp.

  2. Click All Clients and select the client.

  3. On the drop-down menu, click Setup.

  4. On the left-hand side panel, click Account Management and then click Users. Add User page appears.

  5. Click Add, to add a new user.

  6. Select the scope of the user.

    • Client – User is added to the selected client.

    • Partner – User is added to the partner and can access all clients across the partner.

  7. Provide user details. Provide an alternate email if you wish to receive notifications in the same.

  8. Provide the mobile number on which you wish to receive SMS and Voice notifications. Mobile number format should be prefixed with country code. Example: The mobile number format for united states is +1 523 232 4543.

  9. Select Notification Preferences.

  10. Assign Role to the user.

  11. Assign Group to the user.

Notification Preferences

Email Notification

Primary Email is the default email used to receive notifications. However, you can choose to use an alternative Email.

  • Account Information – All account related information is sent to the selected email. Example: Password reset instructions.

  • Alert Notification – User is notified about alert escalations in the selected email.

  • Report Notification – User can subscribe to receive report notifications which contain the URL to download reports.

Two-Factor Authentication

  • A partner user can enable two-factor Authentication for all the clients across the partner.

  • A client user can activate his own two-factor Authentication.
